FOOD ART WEEK 2018
The Food Art Week took place in two different cities in 2018, Paris and Mexico City.
The Food Art Week, curated by Tainá Guedes/ Entretempo Kitchen Gallery focus on a wide range of contemporary art and an educational program. A central art exhibition alongside performances, dining experiences, workshops, discussions, and much more. This year’s theme “Sugar” approached topics such as historical, social-political-environmental impact of sugar production and consumption, as well in our health, in people's and animal's lives.
WHAT
Over 20 exciting events in each city, exhibitions, performances, dining experiences and workshops gathered together famous, as well as young and upcoming artists. For the entire week the visitors had the opportunity to discover the intersection between the wide panorama of modern and contemporary art and the increasingly popular (healthy) food culture in the selected cities. Through performances, dining events and exhibitions the festival aims to present how food can be the medium of artworks and how it can open a dialog between thoughts and emotions. The Food Art Week focuses on discovering the different connections between art and food by exploring the worlds of design, photography, collage, performance, food experiences and books related to this topic.
